Absolutely not. Brandy will provide variations to all moves and exercises to tailor to all fitness levels. Whether you are a complete novice or a seasoned pro, Brandy can alter the class and challenge you.
What do I bring to Small Group?
A water bottle and comfortable exercise clothing and shoes. You should also bring something you can train in for both indoors and outdoors. Since the workouts tend to be held both in and outside, you might want to bring a light exercise jacket, if it's cold out.
What is Interval Training?
Interval training is alternating between bursts of high intensity exercise and lesser intensity exercises. You'll see big fitness gains with interval training.
Are Brandy's Small Group sessions like CrossFit?
Yes and no. CrossFit does center around Interval Training, however the typical CrossFit moves incorporate explosive or ballistic types of movements. These can be great for some and not for others. Explosive and ballistic movements tend to put significant strain on the joints and can lead to injury if not done properly. Brandy utilizes a variety of resistance movements tailored to each participants fitness level without the ballistic nature of CrossFit types of exercises.
